Who we are looking for

The Tempest team is growing and we are looking for new members for our iDSS Data Team. The iDSS Data team is responsible for onboarding new clients to our SAAS CRM platform iDSS. You will work directly with our Data Architect, and VP of Platforms to migrate and transform our clients’ data into iDSS. We are looking for team players who value diversity, hard work, and creativity. Bonus points if you are passionate about the travel industry.

You are passionate about data, comfortable interfacing with internal team members as well as external clients and you thrive in a collaborative team culture.

This is a great opportunity for someone right out of college, or a few years out of college with a great foundation, who wants to join a team of experts and gain a ton of experience in a super fun industry.

A day in the life of a Data Migration Specialist at Tempest may involve

  • Daily standup calls with the Data Team
  • Executing data migrations
  • Contributing to migration process and design
  • Collaborating with the iDSS Client Success team to understand client needs and requirements
  • Documentation of data maps and migration program specs
  • Develop and maintain procedures, scripts, and utilities for migration and transformation of client data
  • Work directly with Data Architect to design, spec and create migrations for new data sources
  • Support migrated clients’ data post migration to ensure quality and integrity once in iDSS

Skills

  • Data migration and analysis experience
  • Familiar with Python or Nodejs
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (and Google Sheets)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Concern for order and quality
  • Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • BA/BS Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, etc)
  • Experience of other DBMS systems (MySQL, Oracle, Access, ODBC)
  • Knowledge of source control systems, preferably Git (and familiarity with GitHub)
  • Positive attitude

Salary Range

$60,000 - $70,000
