Who We are Looking For

The Tempest team is growing fast and we are looking for new members for our Account Services team. The Account Services team works cross-functionally across Tempest’s several divisions, and serves as a central point of contact to our clients. An Account Manager is responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of each client, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction, and selling client accounts into Tempest products they aren’t currently using. An Account Manager doesn’t need to have expert level knowledge of all of Tempest’s offerings, but needs to know what questions to ask and how to find the answers within Tempest to ensure client satisfaction and drive growth opportunities.

A day in the life of a Account Manager at Tempest

  • Account Managers are the primary liaison between clients and Tempest, and are responsible for the overall health and growth of each client account
  • Develop and nurture relationships with clients built on trust by delivering clear, consistent and accurate communication, and ensure our clients are happy.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled status calls with clients, and follow up with detailed notes and tactical action items for client success and growth.
  • Identify sales opportunities within our existing client base.
  • Loop in internal domain experts to resolve client issues, or to aid in sales activities.
  • Regularly meet with internal domain experts for account planning, setting product adoption and/or sales targets for each account.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough notes of all client interactions in our home-grown CRM.
  • Travel (up to 25%) to industry trade shows and client destinations for creative briefs and on-site familiarization missions.


  • Professional communication style in email, phone and in person
  • 3 + years experience managing client relationships and accounts.
  • 3+ years experience selling (account based upselling / cross selling preferred)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and great at follow-through, internally with the IMS team and externally with our clients.
  • Critical thinking skills with creative, detail- and client-oriented approach to proactive identification and resolution of issues.
  • Must have the ability to organize priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic client-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Apps for business.
  • Proficiency in web-based project management tools (Jira, DoneDone, Basecamp, etc).
  • Experience in using a CRM system (Salesforce, Hubspot, etc).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Positive attitude

Salary Range

$60,000-$75,000 base salary, plus sales incentives
