History Meets Luxury On Florida's Historic Coast

St Augustine, Ponte Vedra, & The Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau hosted Gregg and me for a creative brief to kick off ongoing digital marketing and a website redesign with Tempest.

St. Augustine & Ponte Vedra, FL

Creative Brief

What an immersive trip. We were able to experience the destination's deep history and world-class travel amenities. Thank you to Richard Goldman, Susan Phillips, Erin Masters,  William McBroom, and the entire St Augustine, Ponte Vedra, & The Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau team for your hospitality. Below are some of our favorite moments from the visit.

The history here is truly breathtaking. Here's the site at which Ponce de Leon first discovered Florida, in 1513.
A view of the beach in Anastasia State Park - such a beautiful and relaxing place.
TPC Sawgrass Trophy
We enjoyed a tour of the TPC Sawgrass golf course and the clubhouse, home to the PLAYERS Championship, one of the biggest events in golf. Shown here is the President's Cup.
Jenny Rose standing among the greatest names in golf!
TPC Sawgrass wall of fame
It's a local tradition for tournament winners to donate a club to the wall of fame at TPC Sawgrass.
Try the delicious barbecue at Valley Smoke in Ponte Vedra.
The extensive bourbon selection at Valley Smoke.
Downtown St. Augustine
Downtown St. Augustine offers history, dining, galleries, shopping, and unique architecture and it's all walkable and easy to explore.

If You Go . . .

  • Check out the historic downtown. Did you know that St. Augustine is the oldest continually inhabited settlement in the United States? Brush up on your history and visit historic sites right downtown.
  • Hop on a trolley. Trolley tours are the perfect way to explore the city. There are several trolley operators, and you can buy tickets, then hop on and off the trolley throughout the day.
  • Geek out on golf. Golf lovers will enjoy a visit to TPC Sawgrass, which hosts famous PGA PLAYERS Championship. You can also tour the World Golf Hall of Fame or play a round on one of many other beautiful and famous courses throughout the area.
  • Visit the Pirate Museum. If you're traveling with little ones (or if you are just a big kid at heart) stop by this fun and interactive museum.
  • Valley Smoke Restaurant. Fantastic barbecue, an outdoor patio, and a vast selection of bourbon. Definitely put this place on your list!
