Sharing Arizona's Beauty & Culture with The World

Tempest is thrilled to start working on the Arizona Office of Tourism's brand new website design.

Arizona Office of Tourism

Creative Brief

What an honor for Tempest to begin work on a brand new website for the Arizona Office of Tourism (AOT). The Tempest leadership team has deep roots in the Grand Canyon State, and we could not be more excited to help the AOT reimagine its web presence.

Did you know that Arizona is the sixth largest state in the U.S. by square mileage! For this extensive creative brief, Gregg, Mike, and I planned an epic road trip that included:

  • 7 days
  • 39 attractions
  • 1,191 miles on the odometer
  • 4 National Parks and Monuments (there are 24 total statewide)
  • 1 psychic reading (when in Sedona . . .)

We took so many photos along the way that it was hard to choose, but here are some of our top travel highlights below. We look forward to continuing with this project and helping the Arizona Office of Tourism share Arizona's beauty and culture with the world!

Friendly Javelina in Sedona, AZ.
The crew at the Grand Canyon.
Even Gregg looks small at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
We enjoyed drinks at the classic Hotel Monte Vista in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Mike capturing photos of the beautiful Painted Desert in Northern Arizona.
We had to stop by the Wigwam Motel in Holbrook, Arizona for a photo of this roadside Americana treasure.
Incredible sights at the Petrified Forest.
The state flag flying in Prescott, Arizona.
We got to stay in the coolest vintage trailers at The Shady Dell in Bisbee, Arizona.
A visit to Bisbee, Arizona is not complete until you've popped on a helmet and toured the Silver Queen mine.
The "dry heat" doesn't bother this friendly Tombstone local too much.
Boot Hill Graveyard in Tombstone, Arizona. Famous final resting place of the McLaury brothers who were killed in the O.K. Corral shootout.
The views from our hike in the Chiricahua Mountains in Southern Arizona.
We took a walk around the picturesque Bario Viejo neighborhood in downtown Tucson, Arizona.
The marquee of the Rialto Theater in downtown Tucson, Arizona.
